The Sextantio Diffused Hotel in Abruzzo
Breathing new life into the mediaeval town of S. Stefano di Sessanio in Abruzzo, in Gran Sasso Natural Park, the Sextantio project renovates and refines the concept and the role of the albergo diffuso (diffused hotel).

Imagine a landscape marked by centuries-old inhabited hill territory, surrounded by city walls, one of the most distinguishing historical and topographical traits of Central Italy. Now imagine that by visiting this location, you can contribute to combating the depopulation of the town and enhance the value of the original architecture.

After in-depth research into local traditions, project Sextantio gave life to an unprecedented reconversion of the town, owing to a blend of enhancing the value of the simple original architectural features, the faithful reproduction of the antique furnishing elements and the imperceptible use of sophisticated technological systems.

All 28 rooms (as large as 25 m²) are different, owing to the strictly indigenous furnishings, the spaces and the conversion plan adopted. They all have a wood fireplace and communal areas available to guests to encourage conviviality, as well as traditional Abruzzo recipes and a selection of typical wines.
