Asher Levine is the new Blade Runner
At the tender age of 22, he has already dutifully kitted out Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, La Roux and Sam Sparro. Asher Levine is back again with a collection of battle boots for Alpinestars.

To define him as an eccentric, a young designer who has managed to strike a chord with Lady Gaga would be too simple. Asher Levine is a contemporary creative, capable of drawing inspiration from any peculiarity that everyday life has in store and for which we can find no explanation.

Brought up on bread, cutting and sewing, the Discovery Channel and science fiction, for Asher it is perfectly natural to embroider his every creation with details taken from the biological and scientific universe. It is even more spontaneous for him to interlace these inputs with dark visions of the future.

A recent example is that of his biker shoes, which manage to mix opposing concepts such as the underground communities of the New York nightlife and a high-tech clothing label for the hard-core motorcyclists who indulge in extreme sports.

The result is once again a collection that abstracts design in unique figures, capable of recalling shapes and lifestyles that aspire to passing beyond the limits set by the clothing industry on the "clothability" of the human body.
