They live in a mysterious prefabricated squat on a digital hill. They have somewhat enigmatic identities and they want to expand the concepts of net art and digital art. Welcome to the Computers Club.

CC is a participation project of sharing artistic works produced on or by a computer and launched by the artist
Krist Wood on 2nd May 2009.

The idea behind CC is to create a virtual space which attempts to make the concept of "
net art" more attractive, shifting the focus from analogue arts (illustration, painting, performance, experimental videos and music) to those created on the web.

Because the Internet is a new medium. To be explored in its entirety. This is the basis of project CC and this is its strength. Indeed, the intention is to expand the concept of "net art", exploring the ways in which the computer can filter and affect the production of artistic works.

The net can become an authentic art platform, with unique characteristics of the digital medium, and without any influence from traditional spaces. Many of its members, after taking part in CC, launched their own exhibition projects, such as "
jstchillin", "The State", "
bubblebyte".

The idea of the website thus becomes a space filled with hidden interstices to be discovered and not just a place with creative restrictions. Recently, CC expanded with the creation of the Computers Club Drawing Society, open to new potential project members. Each one will have to propose works produced only using design software native to browsers.

An interesting approach, which stimulates the invention of new creative structures, working on the limits and and on the possibilities of the language.
