Under pressure

Crushed from the outside, shaken on the inside. Or vice versa. Tension of all kinds not only stresses our lives, but also the handmade ceramic sculptures by Eva Hild, who sublimates our anxieties.

Delicate bodies with thin skin that reflect pressure at 360°. They dribble past it, flowing between invisible and closed meanders, encompassing empty spaces, volumes that testify to the tension between presence and absence.

On one hand Eva Hild’s sculptures are slender liquid masses searching for a mysterious path, on the other they possess the impalpable spirit of light and air, which moves them and defines their physical contours.

The shape is sculpted by hand, gradually, slowly. Eva takes her time to change direction, find connections, smoothen the surfaces, all of the same thickness.

Once ready, they are fired twice at 2192 F° and treated with silicate colors and pigments. LTVs, Lancia TrendVisions, Eva Hild
This year Eva extended the line with new elements in black. If in the white pieces light and air have the same relevance as the material, in the black ones the color absorbs light, speaking a different language: of weight, force and possible abilities.
